The Nights Out!

It started with a night out, more specifically the first night out we as a uni group, who have known each other for a year and a half (woo! go second year starts) have managed to arrange! We decided to meet in Driftwood on Sauchiehall street at 8 and with me being one of those weirdos who hates being late for ANYTHING! I was there for 10 to 8...by myself...in a bar...on a Saturday and there i waited for half an hour just drowning away my anger for the latecomers one delicious Morgans after the other. Eventually the entire crew were out and unfortunately a few had come a bit more "bevvied" than others so they were not aloud in to Driftwood! We left and headed for the one place in Glasgow we knew we could get in no matter how drunk the others were a place called "Bar Buddha" and it was so unrealistically bad that it actually turned out good. The night was filled with dancing and Morgans and more Morgans and more dancing before we got thrown out for one of our group allegedly stealing a drink, which she wasn't so I argued with the bouncer knowing it would get me nowhere but never the less I did it anyway and this led to me know physically getting thrown out the bar. I wasn't so much annoyed about getting thrown out I was just raging the bouncer had damaged my big, gorgeous Tommy Hilfiger Peacoat I purchased at Christmas. The rest of the night was relatively uneventful we got the bus home and I slept on one of my friends couches as I had gotten on the wrong bus without even thinking and I was not walking 5 miles home from Paisley at 4am.

The next Night out was on Tuesday for St Patrick's day. A group of us decided earlier in the day to head up to O'Neils on Sauchiehall Street for it thinking it would be jam packed and filled with atmosphere...We were wrong. The place was kind of busy but it was nothing on what it should have been for that day but that didn't dent our spirits and we drank and drank away Guinness after Guinness Tequila after Tequila. I unfortunately was working at 6am the next day and had promised myself I would leave at 10 however this never happened as it turned 12 and my friend physically lifted me out my chair and said "Callum you have to leave or you wont make work" (I did make work in the morning, however I felt like a bus had hit me! It was the hardest day of my life) The only upside was my friend promised to buy me Mcnuggets on the way home and I sat in the car and behaved like the best adult child you would have ever seen. The day after I was met with rage from my parents who consistently reminded me how I was neither Irish nor Catholic and had no reason for going out on a Tuesday night but I didn't care I just wanted another amazing night out with my friends before we all go away again for 5 months!

Motherwell FC

Motherwell FC
Post 6
11/3/15

I am a Motherwell FC supporter. Motherwell aren't the biggest team in the world, they are FAR from the best team in the world but they are my team...and I love them.

My dad was the reason for me being a Motherwell fan with his dad being the reason for him being one as well. The first match I ever got taken too was Motherwell vs Hibernian at Fir Park in 1999. I was bought a claret and amber scarf and the home top before the match just so I looked the part within the stadium. Motherwell won the match 1-0 and since then I have supported my team.

I have held a season ticket for the club for the past 12 years and I try and get to as many games as possible but unfortunately I work a lot of Saturday afternoons when the matches are being played. There of course have been times when I have thought of throwing away my season ticket either when I didn't like a particular player or when the club were performing horrendously however when the club are struggling that's when the fans really need to be behind them. The sadly low attendances recently are showing the rate of glory hunters (if you can call them that at a club who never win anything) who were going to the Motherwell matches because of the consistent qualifications into European competitions. The first year Motherwell made it into Europe they were playing AS Nancy and of course this being the first time 'well had been in European competition in about 10 years me and my dad of course went and of course we lost but il never forget the experience, the fans marching the mile and a half to the stadium, singing, cheering, just being generally ecstatic to see the team doing so well. The other places I've been to see 'well play include Llanelli in Wales which was really dull and nothing special but from there I went on my favourite holiday ever which was to Athens to see Motherwell take on Panathanikos at the Olympic Stadium and it was INCREADIBLE! It was single handedly the greatest stadium I have ever been inside and the sheer energy coming from within created the best atmospehere I have experienced since the Scotland vs France match at Hampden where Gary Caldwell scored the only match of the game.

Motherwell FC for me represent everything good about Scottish football, they have a strong community presence, the fans are some of the most loyal in Scottish football and as well as this they are the club I support and that is something that is never going to change.

NEW CLOTHES

NEW CLOTHES
Post 5
10/3/15

Men's Brace Tonic Crew T-Shirt (Grey Marl) - product_image_alt_text_2I decided today was the day to buy all of the new clothes I was going to need for up and coming events such as the couple of 21st birthday's im going to over the next month. I hate spending any time doing anything so I like to get stuff done in one go if it's possible. I started with tops so first stop was the All Saints website where I bought Item #1 which was a plain blue crew neck T.

Next stop was River Island. I like River Island, the clothes are always quite high quality and it always seems to have something that appeals to me. I bought item #2 which was a stripy polo shirt which appealed to me because it combined my 2 favourite things clothing wise...stripes and polo shirts.

Shoes were next. I'm really picky when it comes to shoes. I struggle to find pairs that I genuinely think I will look good in and because of this I practically live in my black high-top Converse All-Stars because they are really simple and go with absolutely everything but I decided it was time for a change.
Photo 1 of Jermaine Black Leather BootsI recently bought my first pair of brogues which I immediately fell in love with and unfortunately I immediately ruined them as well as after the first wear I had fallen and tripped and this meant the leather on the shoes had torn and they were only good for the bin. Item#3 is again from River Island and it is a simple pair of brown brogues which hopefully will last me a little bit longer than my other pair.  Item #4 was another pair of shoes however I decided to just go plain and simple and get a pair of black boots. Topman seemed to be the place to get the best pair for the lowest price and I was right and for only £55 these boots were mine!

Having spent what feels like a fortune I decided to call it quits there and if it seemed like I needed anything more then I would just get them when needed!

Driving

Post 4
9/3/15

I love nothing more than filling my car up with petrol and just seeing where I end up! I feel adventurous and excited whenever I decide to just go a drive. I don't always go to amazing places sometimes I drive up to Largs other times to places I don't know the names of however I always get the same rush of excitement now my car isn't the best in the world as it is a Fiat Punto and if im honest my car is usually pretty dirty and for someone of my size it is extremely small however It has taken me to the base of mountains (such as Ben Lomond) and it's taken me to other countries... I love my Punto.

                                             View From Ben Lomond >

Today I drove to Luss which isn't a massively long drive its only about 30 miles and I seem to drive there quite a lot for no apparent reason other than just enjoying the drive so today I got Noel Gallagher's new album on Spotify and listented to that as I drove to Luss. We weren't in Luss for long as when we got there it was..

freezing cold and the rain was battering down. We walked along the tiny bit of beach the REALLY
high tide wasn't covering, got a couple of photos for our Instagram accounts (My photo is of some Ducks) and then headed back to the car put on one of my favourite albums "Holy Fire" By Foals and started on the drive home. The drive home obviously also meant us going to Mcdonalds in Balloch for a bit of an early dinner but also because I simply hadnt eaten since the Eat Natural bar I had had for Breakfast that morning on the drive to uni.

I Am A Baking God.

Post 3
24/2/15

The Micro-Tyco Project

As part of the Get Into Enterprise module we were tasked with creating and running a business using only £1. The group I was a part of decided we would run our business as a bakery which meant having to sell various cakes within uni in order to raise as much money as possible for charity. Our group all chipped in by baking cakes at home in order to take in and sell. I was told I was to make the cupcakes that would be sold at our stall and with only having £1 between the whole group we had to rely near entirely on food donations which of course led to just raiding our cupboards!

So when it eventually came time to start baking I stuck on the Foo Fighters album "Sonic Highways" (which is an amazing album by the way!) and started the process of making cupcakes and I hated near enough everything about it I was knackered and to make matters worse the kitchen was roasting hot and it just wasn't fun at all, it got to a point I though about just giving up and cheating by buying pre-made cupcakes and selling those but I persisted and after what felt like an eternity later the cupcakes were finally finished and ready to be sold.

(Yes I know they look terrible)

When we had finally sold our last few cakes we headed to our tutorial to count how much we had raised over and above the original pound and we were genuinely surprised to find out we had raised £92.91 in the little over 2 hours our bakery was actually operational!

The Lion, The Witch and the Minor Health Kick

POST 2

16/2/15

Today was a bad day.

It started with a lecture on the second floor which is what has now led to the minor health kick which realistically may last a week or if I keep up this level of motivation and keep really committed this health kick might even last two weeks though I really doubt that.

To get to the second floor I of course had to take the stairs which led to me suddenly realising how much I needed to exercise as I was really out of breath and it wasn't even that many stairs if im honest I don't really understand how I can be this level of unfit as every shift I do in my work im walking the equivalent of about 5-6 miles per shift (nearly 30 miles a week!!)

I'm also planning on actually doing sports that require at least a little effort unlike snooker...which I was playing tonight but yeah as of writing this "Blog" I have started eating healthily (as you can see below!)

So...aye

Post 1

Hi, so...aye as part of my coursework for one of my uni modules we have to create a blog about well something and if I am being completely honest I have no idea what to write this on in order to not be boring or at least less boring than I will inevitably make this.

Music will play a big role in this blog as I seem to try and force something to do with music into most of my uni projects even if its to do with One Direction but the other thought for this blog was to focus it towards travelling as I for as long as I can remember have wanted to travel for a few years after uni as a kind of break from normality.
